It can only get better, Fly Flatts.

                                    An icy track
                                         1 of 2 Stonechat.

A good sunset is always good to fall back on.

                                                   Down goes the sun
                                                         Up comes the moon
Its got as many potholes as our main roads.

A real icy scene at Fly Flatts late afternoon with a temperature of 1 degree on a light SE>3 . The sky was clear and blue with sunshine until it set at 1545 hrs.
The lagoon was frozen solid with some ice around the fringes of the water but pleasant to be up there with beautiful scenery and a nice sunset.
Once again it was very quiet on the bird scene with just Mallards on the water, 2 Kestrels in the air and 2 Stonechat down near the feeding station.
A walk to the NW corner failed to find any target birds or any other birds for that matter other than Red Grouse and Pheasant but I,ll keep hammering away at it until it cracks and produces me another
good bird.
Todays the first time I,ve had Stonechat showing interest in a new mix of seed so theres chance of other species following on.

In the clear blue skies over Queensbury this morning several Fieldfare and Redwing were moving around whilst 2 Heron flew over very high and >E.
