Not like me to go park birding but with an hour and a half to kill with Ollie whilst Pippa was getting her first Poodle make over in Halifax, Shibden Park was the nearest option.
Just the usual Coots, Moorhens , Swans and Mallards on the water as well as several BH gulls.
It certainly takes the pleasure out of bird photography when you have to back off to get the birds in with the birds following you .
A walk through the woods was poor with the only small passerines being Bullfinch and Robins with Pied and Grey Wagtails in the beck.
When the boredom set in I drove round the Waxwing hotspots in Halifax picking out a few individuals in Argos car park, Burdock Way roundabout and 5 were in a tree top just off Burdock Way by the Salvation Army HQ. Redwings were everywhere.
I,ll be glad to get back up to the wilds if this fog ever clears over the weekend.
