Ogden/ Old Guy Road.

A glorious mid afternoon at Ogden with blue skies, sunshine and dead calm conditions though very little bird life.
15 Fieldfare were on the wires at the top of Ned Hill with a Kestrel hovering nearby and around 100 small gulls in the fields.
The water at Ogden was disappointing with just the usual small gulls and Mallards whilst a walk around the perimeter just found the one Goldcrest along with Robins, Dunnocks and Wrens.
The sun was on passerine alley but strangely all the activity was on the cold dark west bank with a flock of 18 Goldfinch and 3 Bullfinch up in the Alders but no Siskin mixed in. The Chaffinch flock along with Brambling have left the area not being seen since late autumn.
Early morning over Queensbury found a steady flow of Herring gulls >S and >SW along with 7 Mistle Thrush high and >E.

Raggalds Flood has plenty water but only 2 Common gulls whilst the Pit Lane Lapwing flock have not been present there for a few days now.
Old Guy Rd cricket pitch held 2 Pied Wagtails and 3 Meadow Pipits whilst 4 Mistle Thrush were on the wires.
