                                         Sparrowhawk
                                     11 Oystercatchers present
                                       juv Cormorant drying out.

A dull, dark clouded morning at Leeshaw reservoir with a brisk W>5.
An unbelievable morning with 2 of my July targets hit and just Common Scoter to go.
The area was alive with birds both blogging and moving, one of those mornings where you did,nt know where to look next.
During a drizzly shower a Yellow Legged Herring gull dropped in briefly before moving off >W soon to be followed by a Common Tern which very nearly got passed me flying low over the fields nearly up on the moor unfortunately out of camera range in the grim light but managed a few record shots.
On top of all this CK sent me a text reporting a Whimbrel on the shoreline up at Oxenhope reservoir.
What a stonking morning.
