May day and still lying snow and frozen puddles with an icy WSW >6 dropping >4 mid watch.
First thing of note was a fall of Wheatear which were mainly females but very flighty and timid whereas the males were a bit more trusting. A count of 19 along the south and west shore and banking with probably several more on the north end.
9 Common Sandpipers were spaced along the west shoreline keeping out of the wind whilst one Oystercatcher was moving around the east shore.
2 Dunlin were up and down the east shore whilst a noisy distant Raven flew over the Bumps.
Got 2 good bags of Nyjer down at the feeding station.
Nolstar kennels field held 6 Goldies but no sign of the Dunlin or Wheatear.
