Cold Edge Dams at 1900 hrs was blustery with horizontal drizzle blasting over the moor but keeping just below the fog line which had blanked Fly Flatts out. The drizzle eased slightly before the end of the watch.
Good to get my first view of the Barnacle goose this year and that and the flock of Canadas have taken to the easy life by flying into the domestic goose pen where they can get free food and drink.

The water on both dams were rough and quiet with 15 Mallard and a pair of Tufted but good to get my first Little Grebe this year, you,re not to call them Dabchicks now, or so Im told.
