No repeat of yesterdays excitement but its not every day you can see a local Osprey. If anyone saw this mornings daily Mirror theres a cracking photo of one with a Rainbow Trout.
Herring gulls were on the move >SW from early doors this morning and still a few going over midday.
Common and Black Headed gulls are now noticeable by their absence around the village and none showing in Foxhill park having headed off to their breeding grounds.
Another dinner time dash to Old Guy Rd failed to find any Wheatear but 12 Skylark and 8 Meadow Pipits were around the cricket pitch area whilst 2 Mistle Thrush were on distant wires.
A short 10 minutes watch from Roper Lane produced 7 Herring gull >SW and 4 alba Wagtails >NW.
Local reports today included 2 Ring Ouzel and a Swallow, Cold Edge Dams, DJS. A good move of Buzzards >NW over Fly Flatts, HC, and a single Ring Ouzel on Soil Hill JL.

Unfortunately I,m grounded from evening birding for the next week with a heavy decorating timetable at the daughters preparing a nursery for Granddaughter number 4 on her way, thats between 2 daughters, the score so far Rachel 2 and a half, Belinda 1.
