Queensbury Today

Amazing views from the top of the Dailie Fields
A snow covered Penyghent, North Yorshire
Great Whernside towering in the background.
Over the old railway station to Otley
                                          NE over Baildon Moor

Another of those stonking birding Mondays which always seem to follow a poor Sunday just to rub it in.
Plenty in the sky today with Woodpigeons on the move >NW along with 2 very high Herons in the same direction.
15 minute watch at lunch time from the top of the Dailies produced several LBB gulls along with at least 8 Herring gull all >NNE into the wind heading towards the Aire Valley.
A very distant Buzzard type raptor soared over Baildon Moor drifting >N whilst 8 Linnets headed >NW.
Around 80 Lapwings were mobile in the distance dropping into fields beyond Yews Green.
As I arrived home this evening a female Sparrowhawk flew over Foxhill which I saw for a second time whilst having my tea and gazing out of the window, obsession or what ?
