Dipper by the Ogden sluice gates
Unusual for Greylags at Ogden
Bright sunshine and blue skies at 0600 hrs when I got up this morning then as I set off at 0645 hrs the clouds had closed in and starting to snow.
Looking across I could see Fly Flatts was in the fog so down to Ogden where the snow was coming down heavily cutting visibility to half the reservoir.
A full circuit of the water in slightly improving conditions found very little in passerines other than Robins, Wrens and Dunnocks whilst the water held 17 Canadas, 2 Greylags, 1 Cormorant and a few BHGulls.
The Dipper was down by the sluice gates but no sign of the Kingfisher.
