Queensbury Today, bright start , wild finish

          Amazing layered skies first light

                                 Black Dyke mills from Sourheads

An amazing sky from first light with layers of different colours but before the sun showed above the horizon it was snubbed out by cloud.
Temperatures rose as the day went on soon clearing the ice but by late afternoon the rains came blown on by a strong to gale force S > 6 gusting 7.

Three Herring gulls went over the garage >W at 0830 hrs, and 0900 hrs saw around 60 Redwings over >S probably from a roost down in the old station.
Lunch time in Foxhill park held 9 Common gulls, 2 Pied Wagtails and the unusual sighting of a single Meadow Pipit.
No more reports of Pinkies today.
