Dinner time dash

Raggalds Flood rapidly drying up again

More rain needed and a cork to plug the hole
                    Another misty wet evening walk
                                    Brighouse, Denholme Road

A pleasant day after a misty start with blue skies and some sunshine.

All quiet in Foxhill park at lunch time apart from a few Common gulls so went back to work in the car for a quick tour of the local spots.

Raggalds Flood was disappointingly low with just a few small gulls coming and going whilst a Heron flew overhead high and >N.

Shelf Moor trailer park field had 1 Snipe showing briefly before disappearing behind a mound in the top left corner of the field, no time to check the juncus field.
2 fields higher up towards Queensbury held 19 Lapwing, c200 Starling and several Jackdaws.

Green Lane had several small gulls in the fields whilst 4 Fieldfare were flitting about in the Magpie roost Holly bush.
One of the resident Little Owls made a brief appearance before disappearing into the cow shed.

Once again the fog rolled in after dark making fog for Queensbury 5 days in a row. Good job vis mig is over.
