Raggalds Flood needing a top up.
Down to Woodpigeons and Stock Doves tonight.
LBB gull numbers increasing now.
Just getting ready to take the dogs out this evening when I heard Canada geese going over the house but although I grabbed the camera, which is rarely more than 2ft away from me, and dived out into the garden they were gone. Sounded like a small group low and >N which is unusual for here.
Nothing new up the park, just the usual Blackbirds singing and a greater than usual number of Collared Doves and Woodpigeons around which seem to get pleasure from cooing outside our bedroom window at 0500hrs.
With geese over and a few wader reports trickling in I thought I,d better give the flood a check which turned out to be not one of my better ideas holding only 11 Woodpigeons, 4 Stock Doves and a Pied Wagtail.
Fifteen minutes at the Roper Lane watch point found several Swifts and Swallows in no general direction and a good number of LBB gulls all >NW along with 5 Black Headeds.
A Kestrel hunted over the hillside and 4 Canadas were on the Bradshaw pond.
