Queensbury Today

Grey skies over Foxhill this evening
                                       Laburnum coming into full bloom

Blackie in full song on the tv aerial.
A grey and damp day with some heavy showers, mainly lunch time and early evening when I was dog walking.
Several Herons are around Foxhill at the moment ,much to the disappointment of the local garden pond owners, whilst at least 8 Blackbirds are up singing within 50yds of the garden.
A couple of Black Headed gulls went over >E mid morning closely followed by an early Common gull.
Most of the noisy young Starlings have dispersed from the park now but a second brood will be arriving shortly.
A report from a customer today of a pair of Bullfinch with 3 young down the old station near the Holmefield tunnel entrance. Long gone are the days when we used to watch Spotted Flycatcher, Redstart and Yellowhammer down there.
