Local Whoopers of the last 12 months
24 on Mixenden 4/2/14
1 juv with the 24
A good count for Mixenden
8 on Ogden 3/4/14
8 on Fly Flatts 17/2/13
6 in the Ogden fog 8/3/13
Two good years for local Whoopers moving through, wonder how many got through unseen.?
By mid morning a brisk W>4 had made light work of the fog and moved it on leaving a clear bright day with some sunshine.
Unfortunately a heavy schedule so no time for birding other than 2 quick dog walks up Foxhill park which produced a few LBB gulls heading >N up the Aire valley which coincided with several moving the same direction over the M621 late afternoon on our way back from Leeds.
Hopefully we,re in for a clear weekend so watch out for those Ospreys heading >N.
