Heading back to Ogden
South over Saddleworth Moor
Kestrel over Mixenden taken out of the car window
No improvement in the weather as I arrived at Cold Edge Dams at 1500hrs with a strong SW>5-6 and heavy rain showers.
Very little about in the conditions but enough to keep me interested in the dry spells.
A pair of Tufted were on the water along with a few Canada geese whilst around 40 Canadas were across on the old factory dam along with a Greylag.
Several Curlews were moving around and 5 Snipe were up drumming.
Plenty Meadow Pipits were around the waters edge and 4 Goosanders came in to land on the water briefly before off again >NE. Probably the 4 that were missing from Ogden this morning with the 1st summer male with them.
12 LBBgulls were over Mixenden reservoir whilst a kestrel made me slam on and take a quick snap out of the window, apologies to the car behind.
A third visit to Raggalds Flood found it just as deserted as the last 2 visits.
