Jackdaw invasion

A bright but short lived sunrise, Chapel Lane

A brilliant red ball sunrise this morning which had lost its red glow by the time it was in position for me to photograph it. Unfortunately it was soon lost as grey skies moved in on the SW>4 leaving a grey but dry day.
Jackdaws have been the bird of the week around Queensbury with unusually high numbers on roof tops , these being birds other than the usual pre and post roost birds moving over to and from the Wilsden/ Hewenden area.
As with falls of Starlings, they usually hang around a couple of days before moving on.
No lunch time again for checking the Flood and area due to yet another trip to St Lukes and again tomorrow back to the B.R.I. but may have a hospital free day on Friday.
Thanks to NK for keeping the area covered and producing a good local report, see Nigels blog for details.
