Soil Hill, last light visit

                                    Ingleborough from Soil Hill
                                    Lapwings moving around the fields
Still a few Meadow Pipits.  Well it was taken at last light !

Soil Hill 1500-1600hrs. Very calm and cloudy with good visibility.

Nice to bump into DJS up on the hill to exchange a bit of banter breaking the boredom of few birds.
A small flock of around 8 Meadow Pipits were feeding on the summit whilst 2 flocks of Lapwing, 42 and 23 , were flying around from field to field.
Black Headed, Common and Lesser Black Backed gulls were piling into the Oxenhope roost and a single Herring gull went >W.
Small squadrons of Starlings were heading for Bradford whilst 3 Mallard came over from the east dropping down near Wilsden.
Hopefully the cold spell promised for the end of the week will bring some Snow Buntings our way.
