A late afternoon visit around Green Lane found 3 Little Owl and a Mistle Thrush along with 23 Linnet.
No Lapwing were present in the usual fields and Tracys Wheatear field produced 8 Woodpigeon, 2 Stock Dove, 5 Feral pigeon, 4 domestic white doves and several Rooks.
Soil Hill summit was deserted other than 2 Grey Partridge and the usual Skylarks and Linnets.
The Causeway Foot col was busy with c100 Swallows in various directions and 24 LBB gulls all heading for Thornton Moor reservoir. The heavy rain shower could be seen coming from the Dales to the north and within about 15 minutes it was throwing it down.
