Another heavy moving morning today with Mipits piling over from first light all directly>S with the largest flock being 38.
This continued until 0945hrs when the show was taken over with finches, mainly Chaffinch but a few Greenfinch amongst them
all heading >W and >SW totalling about 200 with just casual observations from work. By 1100hrs the skies were quiet.
A quick visit to Shelf Moor tonight found around 80 Linnet very mobile over the gorse field and up to 20 blogging Chaffinch in the hawthorns whilst 6 Swallows came over >S.
