A bright day for Queensbury

Sunrise behind Black Dyke Mills
Blackbird guarding his territory

A bright frosty morning with very little cloud all day and a cool SW>3 with plenty sunshine.
Plenty activity in the garage car park conifers with 2 pairs of Blackbirds, 1 singing Robin and 2 singing Dunnocks all looking ready to start nest building. Blue tits are showing interest in the box just over the fence from the car park with up to 6 birds checking it out although it has been up there about 3 years and only used the first year.
On the walk home tonight ,which was the first time in near daylight, 4 Goosanders flew over Chapel Lane >NW heading in the direction of the Oxenhope roost. A taste of spring at last although more wind and rain are on the way by the sound of things.
