Number 2 patch, Leeshaw Reservoir

                                    Gulls starting to return

                                        Mostly LBBs

                                    Stocking up with Trout.

Far too windy this morning for Fly Flatts with a near gale force WSW>7 gusting gale force 8. Leeshaw was a bit more sheltered with a WSW>6 gusting 7, easing as the morning went on, with cloudy sunshine and early drizzle at 10 degrees.
Very poor on waders with just a single Curlew, 3 Oystercatchers and several Lapwing with no sign of breeding Redshank or Common Sandpiper, which is unusual for this site. Plenty House Martins in their usual breeding spot along with a few Swallows and Sand Matins.
Gulls are slowly filtering back in with 18 LBB. 2 Herring and a single Blacked Headed all on the far north bank whilst the water was full of Canada and Greylags, the Greylags greatly out-numbering the Canadas.
A few Mallard and a Cormorant were on the water and half a dozen Meadow Pipits were mobile around the shore. Otherwise, just down to the normal species.
Dry and bright for tomorrow on a light SE which hopefully does'nt mean early fog with the temp kicking off at 8 degrees. Hopefully, back to my number one patch tomorrow.
