Fly Flatts

                                        Usual 4 Oystercatchers

                                    Newcomer, Female Goldeneye.
                                    Keeping out of camera range.

The good weather continues with a bright clear morning at Fly Flatts on a very light NNE>2 at 3 degrees with full bright cloud cover.
A very active morning bird wise, possibly due to the slight rise in temperature, though nothing out of the ordinary other than a single female Goldeneye, but keeping well out of camera range. A rare bird for this site but been scarce all around the region this winter, especially at Mixenden reservoir which usually attracted good counts every winter period.
Just a single Redshank present along with the usual 4 Oystercatchers and a brief sighting of the long staying Ringed Plover. Several Lapwings on the Flat Moor keeping busy warning off the Crows whilst 2 Curlew were in the same area.
Still 15 Greylag in with the Canadas and 3 white Greylags which nearly took me for Whoopers over in the distant NW corner. Otherwise a few Mipits and 2 Pied Wagtails.
The band of good weather continues with a part cloudy morning on a slightly stronger ENE starting off at 2 degrees.
