Wrong conditions for Leeshaw.

                                        Several LBB gulls over >W

                                        Heron on watch
                                Oyk, Lapwings and Greylags.

With the cloud and drizzle replaced with sunshine and higher temperature a quiet morning all round as expected. A light W>3 with 20% cloud and sunshine at 13 degrees but good visibility.
A different morning completely to yesterday with the reservoir giving that stagnant look. Very few small passerines around with just a handful of Mipits and Linnets although plenty Swallows, House Martins and Sand Martins in the air as well as a single Swift.
On the wader scene, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Sandpiper and several Lapwing but looking like the last Curlew has now moved on.
A single Kestrel was up, this being the only raptor, with very few raptor sightings reported of late.
A steady flow of LBB gulls were moving over >W but mainly very high and only 4 dropping down briefly, while 9 Black Headed were on the north shore. Otherwise just down to the usual species.
Looking like more sunshine for tomorrow on a light sou'westerly. Probably a good time to check out the water level at Fly Flatts if the visibility is good.
