More wind, more rain, Fly Flatts

                                    Usual Common Sandpipers
                                    and Ringed Plovers.

Another horrendous morning at Fly Flatts with torrential early rain turning to drizzle showers on a moderate W>5 gusting >6 at a cold 6 degrees with full dark cloud.
Again, visibility was very hit and miss in between the drizzle clouds so another steady morning, the highlight today being a Short Eared Owl over the moor, a rare sighting recently around this area.
Just Common Sandpipers and Ringed Plovers this morning, wader wise, and empty skies, other than a Raven and 8 LBB gulls whilst 2 Reed Bunting were in the compound area among the Meadow Pipits.
A similar forecast for tomorrow with still the moderate wind, and temperatures dropping even lower, bearing in mind we have had snow in June in Queensbury in the past.
