An icy cold Fly Flatts

                                    Ravens in the air
                                    5 Common Sandpiper showing
                                    Curlew not happy with Ravens
                                    2 ad Raven + 2 young
                                    A squabble for food.

                                    Plenty Swifts over
                                    Single Redshank

                                Still some late Lapwing chicks

An icy cold start to the morning at 5 degrees on a strong WSW >5 gusting 6 with 80% cloud and odd bursts of sun. The temperature rose slightly, mid watch, to 7 degrees so still have'nt managed to stop wearing my winter clothes as yet, even the dogs still have their coats on.
A relatively quiet morning in the strong cold wind with little wader movement other than Common Sandpipers plus a single Redshank and Oystercatcher plus Curlews and Lapwings.
Several Swifts in the air along with 8 LBB gulls and a Kestrel whilst the highlight of the morning was watching a pair of Raven feeding their two, newly fledged, chicks across on the Robin Rocks, being constantly mobbed by Curlew.
A similar day tomorrow with a lighter WSW but still starting off at 7 degrees.
