Slogging away at Leeshaw.

                                    1 of 6 Redshank
                                    Still 19 Oystercatchers on site

                                    Mega distant Red Kite

                                            Oyks
                                    Heavily mobbed Heron.

A pleasant enough morning at Leeshaw with clear skies but the usual fog on the moor tops. A light SE>3 turning S>4 which cleared the upland fog by 0900 hrs with a cool temperature of 4 degrees.
Another morning of  Curlews, Oystercatchers and Redshanks along with several gulls, mostly Common, but once again, in the SE wind, keeping to the north of the water.
A pair of Dippers were down in the beck as well as 2 Grey Wagtails and a single Pied. Nothing wildfowl type other than the usual Canadas, Greylags, Mallards and 2 Moorhen whilst a Heron was getting plenty stick from the Oyks and Lapwings.
Just to lighten up the morning watch, a Red Kite appeared over the NW ridge, but very distant, and remained in the area for 15 minutes, frequently mobbed by Curlews.
A report from BV, who I met at Leeshaw, with 4 Wheatear showing along Trough Lane near the Dog and Gun.
Forecast for morning is not looking too pleasing with heavy rain and a strong east turning south east with a better afternoon, but that's no good to me. Its still showing as poor visibility (fog), even with the strong wind.
