Despite the day being pleasant it was still a foggy, drizzly start on the tops . Leeshaw was bright after early drizzle with light SW>3 at 3 degrees.
The water was alive with geese and gulls with over 300 mixed Canadas and Greylags whilst around 150 Herring and LBB were on and around the water along with c 200 small gulls.
An adult Yellow Legged Herring was briefly on the gantry and later a second bird on the tower, the second bird having very dull yellow legs and looking like a 3cy.
The long staying female Gt Crested Grebe was still present and several Fieldfare and Redwing were in distant Hawthorns.
On the way back, 114 Lapwing were on the Raggalds Flood as well as several small gulls and 5 Mallard.
Quite a morning before we go back to the wind and rain tomorrow.
