Another grizzly morning with fog on the tops and sunshine and very heavy showers at Leeshaw with a moderate SW>4 at 5 degrees.
Poor for gulls this morning with plenty small gulls but all distributed around distant fields too far to check, even through the scope. A steady flow of LBB and Herring trickled >W with some stopping on the water briefly.
A heavy early morning move of Woodpigs >S as well as Starlings >NW along with large counts of Greylag and Canada geese in the air moving fields out over Upper Marsh.
The goose field held a good number of mixed, Redwing, Fieldfare and Starling but quiet on the water with just a single Goosander, Mallards and 2 Cormorant.
A last light dog walk over Foxhill at 1630 hrs produced a skein of Pink Footed Geese directly east to west which could have been early trans Pennine birds. As it was coming dark I left the camera at home but managed to get an image of 22 dots on my phone.
Looking like a very wet and windy morning tomorrow.
