A fall of Wheatear, Fly Flatts.

                                At least 18 Wheatear
                                Mostly juvs

                                Nice male

                                Distant Stonechat.
                                Ad and Juv Oystercatcher.

Very dark skies and heavy showers at Fly Flatts this morning on a moderate S>4 at 12 degrees.
An overnight fall of Wheatears was apparent with at least 18 counted, mainly juvs, all around the south and east shore along with a high count of Meadow Pipits. Just a single Stonechat was among the Wheatears but yesterdays Willow Warblers have moved through.
Just the usual Oystercatchers, Common Sandpipers and Ringed Plovers with no Dunlin for the last few days. A single Curlew flew overhead very high and >W.
Just a female Tufted on the water and 4 Kestrel overhead which have bred nearby.
Wet and windy again tomorrow, so they say.
