                                    female Ringed Plover
                                    Male Ringed Plover
1 of 2 Ringed Plover chicks
2nd Ringed Plover chick almost fledged

Should be flying by the 12th.
                                    At least 6 Dunlin

Plenty Swallows as well as Swifts

                                Common Sandpipers showing well.

Part cloud early doors at Fly Flatts but soon clearing to leave full sun on a light ENE>2 at 10 degrees.
A lively wader morning with new birds in overnight but no new species. The original Ringed Plover pair have reared at least 2 of the 3 which are days away from fledging now so looking less vulnerable. Another 3 adult Ringed Plover were on the north shore along with at least 6 Dunlin.
Several Redshank and Common Sandpipers present whilst, once again, scores of Swallows and Swifts were over the water and moor. Just a single LBB gull on the water and a Buzzard over the moor.
