A foggy start at Fly Flatts soon lifting to leave misty visibility with heavy drizzle throughout at 6 degrees on a very calm W>1.
The rain I ordered along with the overnight fog seemed to do the trick with 4 Common Sandpipers present along with another 2 Ringed Plover and 2 more Oystercatchers whilst 20 + Swallows were feeding over the water.
No moving gulls with just 6 LBB on the west bank harassing the Lapwings whilst 4 Reed Bunting were in the lagoon tree along with Meadow Pipits.
A light wind round to the NW in the morning but no rain until midday, hopefully no fog either.
1st Swift due in the next few days.,
