A bright, sunny morning with clear blue skies and full sun but icy cold in the N>3 at 1 degree with frozen puddles. A good morning for the birder but not reservoir watching conditions..
Good to see Golden Plovers returning to the Nolstar fields but none on the Flat Moor, but making a glimmer of hope for a Dotterel or two in the next couple of weeks.
As expected, nothing moving in the clear blue sky other than Swallows >N plus the local Raven and Buzzard. Unusual to see 2 Skylark squabbling on a fence post, not a common bird at this site. Nothing new on the water today and just the usual waders along with 4 Wheatear and 3 LBB gulls.
