                                Starlings over the water
                                Fieldfare in the goose field

A very windy morning at Leeshaw with a strong W>6 gusting 7 with a mix of sunshine and drizzle showers at a mild 7 degrees.
Leeshaw was buzzing this morning with the strong westerly making the birds very flighty, constantly moving around between the fields and reservoir banking.
Oystercatcher numbers were up to 18 whilst 9 Curlew were present plus another 5 fly throughs >W. The usual large flocks of Lapwing and Starlings were very unsettled moving from field to field whilst Fieldfares were in the goose field.
Very poor on gulls with a single Herring , 8 Black Headed and 2 Common along with a male Goosander on the water. The 2 resident Little Owls are now both back in their summer area.
A real lively morning despite the wind and drizzle.
