                                               1 of 3 Whinchat
Distant in the heat shimmer, 2 Mipit, 2 Whinchat, 1 Stonechat
                                               2 Whinchat

                                                   Snipe on the shore
                                                     1 Common Sandpiper present
                                                  female Tufted duck present
BALKRAM EDGE                    Common gulls starting to show now.

OGDEN                                Several gulls, mainly LBBs

Few Herring but no Yellow Legged.
                                        Plenty disturbance.

A very hot and hazy start to the day at Fly Flatts  but soon clouded over with a nice WNW>3 at 19 degrees.
A very active morning with tons of movement going on with a wave of passerines moving through, slowly ground hopping >S. Unfortunately it was early doors when the sun was full up and hazy with strong heat shimmer making scoping and photos poor.
A family of Whinchat were in with a group of  Willow Warbler, Reed Bunting, Spotted Flycatcher and Stonechat along with several Meadow Pipits. By 0915 hrs the whole group had moved through just leaving the Wheatears still on the shore.
All the small passerine activity invited a fly through Merlin and 2 Kestrels but none seemed successful whilst Swallows were heading >S and a Curlew went over high and >W.
The juv Little Ringed Plover reappeared today along with a Common Sandpiper and a Snipe on the shore with just a female Tufted and 2 Teal on the water along with the usual gulls.
With the weekend over and temperature down I ventured to Ogden mid p.m. to do a gull check but nothing special with a poor count of Herring but Common Gulls up to around 15.
