Fly Flatts, Swallows and another 'leucorhoa' Wheatear.

This Wheatear stood out in size and colour
Not showing deeper colour on over exposed pics in low sun.

                                                                   7 primary tips.
Red Grouse on the west bank
                                                  The white Greylag.

A bright sunny morning at Fly Flatts with a light N>3 at 7 degrees. A nice morning to be out but not good birding conditions for this site.
No sightings of Common Sandpiper or Dunlin this morning with a walk the full length of the west bank just providing the usual Ringed Plovers, Redshanks and Oystercatchers.
Swallows are starting to show more with 3 over the water and 2 on wires near the Withins. The top track held 9 Wheatear, 2 Stonechat and 3 Reed Bunting whilst a solitary Wheatear moving around the compound stood out as a larger and deeper coloured male though not as bright as my previous Greenland. It had 7 primary tips which puts it, in my mind to, Icelandic or Intergrade looking very similar to 2 found by MC a couple of days ago on his Oxon patch.
Too sunny and still mid afternoon so catch up time at home.
