Littlemoor Park, Queensbury.

Another bright wintry morning at 1 degree on a light W>3 with frozen puddles.
Just a Foxhill dog walk this morning with the Common gulls up to 38 on the football pitches and a few Redwing coming out of roost.
Mid afternoon and a walk down to Littlemoor Park with Woodcock in mind but this never happened. Just the usual woodland species with Blackbirds being the main contender with a count of 15 just in one small area as well as 8 Mistle Thrush but no winter thrushes.
A pair of Bullfinch was nice to see with a cracking brilliant plumaged male along with several Gt and Blue tits but strangely no Greenfinch or Chaffinch in an area that is usually a hot spot at this time of year. A Sparrowhawk flew fast overhead but seemed to be on a mission, ignoring the small passerines whilst a Gt Spotted Woodpecker was calling but remained hidden among the dense branches.
