                                   Greylag goslings growing well
                                               2S Lesser Black Backed.

                                                 Usual Ringed Plover, female

                                                            male

                                               male Reed Bunting
                                                    Well hidden Golden Plover

Playing dodge the showers today with a dry morning on a W>3 with 50% cloud and sunshine at 9 degrees than after a torrential hail storm over midday the late afternoon watch was again dry and bright with wind increased to NW>4.
Down to the basic birds today with the usual waders and only 4 LBB gulls >NE mid afternoon. Golden Plover were in the top field again but only 3 present along with the Greenland Wheatear which seems to be the only Wheatear left in the area now.
Last year a Greenland Wheatear hung on until the 31st May. A female Merlin was very active whilst 3 Kestrel were up in the wind.
A poor spring for the waders with the water level up to the top making the Common Sandpipers move on leaving 1 breeding pair and 2 individuals ,so far ,whereas last year I had 8 breeding pair and 12 breeding pair in 2019.
