Wash and brush up time
Another new arrival ,distant drake Teal by the north shore.
Back to the east wind this morning with an E>4 with full cloud cover at 7 degrees but feeling colder in the wind.
Overnight arrivals were pleasing with 5 Ringed Plover and 6 Dunlin present though mainly sticking to the distant west bank which I have no access to at the moment whilst work is ongoing there. Common Sandpiper numbers was also up with at least 13 birds present along with a new arrival ,drake Teal, which also kept well in the distance.
Its new arrivals of small waders like this that bring in the rarer birds like Little Ringed Plovers and Sanderling which I,m expecting a visit from any day now.
Apart from a few Herring and LBB gulls the sky remained quiet and still no Swift have crossed my path as yet though HC was inundated with them moving through Haworth with a count of 200 +.
