A decent watch both morning and afternoon but getting a bit too warm and sunny for my liking p.m.
A N>4 was blowing a.m. turning NW>4 then W>3 by late afternoon with good distant visibility but strong heat haze around the shorelines.
A second Ringed Plover was around the SE ponds this morning much to the displeasure of the long staying bird as the second bird was also an adult male in breeding plumage. After a lot of squabbling they flew over the water and were last seen probing on the east bank. By p.m. only the original bird was present back at the ponds showing its distinctive out of place primary feather.
An afternoon of Lapwings and Curlews , either post breeding or non breeding birds, with 23 Lapwing on the east shore and a group of 15 Curlews coming in to land briefly on the south shore before heading off >SE.
A group of 8 Raven were high above the Nab being mobbed by the resident Curlews and Lapwings whilst 3 Kestrel were over the top road.
