  And now for something completely different.   Sanderling.

   Very distant shots in the heat shimmer.

 Very fidgety between the east and north shore

          Kept getting moved around by Lapwings.

                                            Back to the Dunlins

          Arrived home to find a Buzzard over the back garden

                                                  A good end to a good morning.

0730 hrs at Fly Flatts with ideal conditions with 100 % cloud cover, a very light SW>2 and visibility improved after some early mist.
                                       Again the area was alive with Dunlins ( 19) , Common Sandpipers (13) and Redshank (4) as well as 2 Oystercatchers and 3 Snipe.
                                      Scoping the far north shore produced a very white small wader which had to be a Sanderling so a mad dash on through the boatyard to get Bertha something near in range though still very distant. The bird was constantly moved around by Lapwings moving from the east to the north shore and at one point came slightly nearer to the spit area. It was last seen scoped from the south shore way across on the mud at the north end but getting surrounded by gulls.
                                   Good to see the cavalry arrive with AC, AT and JM giving it a go , hope they were lucky.
As I arrived home a noise crow made me look up to find a Buzzard overhead, no a common sight here as it drifted >SW.
