As expected this morning the tops were still snow bound and fogged off so I headed for Redcar Tarn in hopes of finding it below the cloud base. Annoyingly the journey there was clear until the last 100 yards where a bank of fog hung over the water . Luckily visibility was half way across the water so a walk around the perimeter allowed me to check for anything unusual which there did,nt seem to be.
Around 100 small gulls were settled in the middle of the water so no chance of checking through for Med gull whilst the only big gulls were 2 Herring. Otherwise it was down to the usual species but plenty of them as always at this location.
