A last light visit to Fly Flatts found the weather much improved with a very light S > 2 and 60 % light grey cloud cover.
Although the weather seemed ideal the birding was,nt with this mornings fall of passerines moved on apart from 1 pair of Stonechat around the boatyard.
Golden Plover were down to 8 on the east shore and the Mallard count was up to 61.
With this mornings fall of Reed Buntings I thought there must be a Snow Bunting in the area, but if there was I didnt find it after a thorough search of the feeding area and along the bottom of the west bank. Maybe later this week when I find a Ring Ouzel.
Now to check through this mornings Reed Bunting photos to see if I can make one into a Lap Bunt.
