Kebroyd House Martins and Leeshaw Reservoir
Called at the daughters this afternoon at Kebroyd , tuther side of Sowerby Bridge, and took the camera as she had House Martins flying under the eaves of her house. All was quiet until suddenly they started arriving with mud to nest build. Several of the nearby houses also had birds nest building.
With the thoughts of 23 degrees and very little breeze plus swarms of flies on the west bank at Fly Flatts I decided to give Leeshaw a visit to see if I was missing anything which fortunately I was,nt.
A good count of 12 Oystercatchers was as good as it got and, although there is some shoreline, there was just 1 Common Sandpiper present and the usual species plus a field full of Stock Doves.
Hopefully it will be cooler and windier tomorrow.
