New batch of waders in for Fly Flatts. + a Cuckoo

New arrival of Redshank with 6 at the south end.

                                           2  pr Grey Wagtails present

Still slow on the Wheatear with 1 male.
Another Dunlin new in not yet in full summer plumage.

Another pleasing visit to Fly Flatts weather wise at 1600 hrs with 90% cloud cover on a fresh NE>4.
An overnight move of waders was  apparent as soon as I arrived with 6 Redshanks around the south end as well as the north end summer residents. These birds were very flighty and later moved across to the east banking near the clubhouse.
A single Dunlin was on the west bank also very fidgety , usually the sign of a new in bird, which seems to take a day for them to get their bearings and settle down. This bird was very speckled on its breast not yet showing its full summer breeding plumage unless it was a sub adult.
A cuckoo was calling throughout down in the trees on the moor above Dean Head reservoir but I only managed a couple of quick views of it as it moved positions.
A single male Wheatear was down near the feeding station otherwise it was down to the usual species.
The Nolstar field was void of birds.
