Still snow at the feeding station
Looking SE from the west bank
Winny Stone on the top of Tatie Pie Hill , west ridge.
Sun on the Nab
The clubhouse looks weird with the wood jetty gone.
1500 hrs at Fly Flatts found it good for walking the moor but poor birding conditions with clear blue sky, only 10 % cloud cover, with full sunshine and a cool NW>4.
Due to these conditions the sky remained completely empty apart from 1 Great Black Backed gull >W over the western ridge.
The water held the usual flock of Mallards with a count of 33 along with 2 Canada geese whilst at least 4 Stonechat were around the club house yard.
Several Red Grouse were very vocal on the moor and around 20 Golden Plover dropped onto the flat moor at Slade.
Conditions seemed good for a blast off of Pink Footed Geese today but that never happened so keep an eye on the sky this weekend.
