I,ve just received a phone call to tell me the sad news that the owner of Oats Royd nature reserve John Steele has died suddenly which could threaten the future of this area. John built this reserve up from scratch over many years and it has always been a hot spot for spring migrants even though part of it has been rented off to an angling club.
