                                                  In Eclipse
                                       BHG numbers lifting.
Breeding success , 2 young Tufted
                                              6 Tufted in all
Canadas in and out of Haigh Cote dam

1430 hrs and in the way of a change a check on Cold Edge Dams with 40 % cloud cover, sunshine and a moderate NE > 4.
All the goose fields have long grass now so remain empty with the Canadas being spread between the mill dam, Leadbeater dam and Haigh Cote dam but no sign of the Barnacles which have,nt been at Fly Flatts the last 3 visits.
Leadbeater Dam was busy with Canadas, Mallards and 6 Tufted including 2 young birds, a good breeding record for Cold Edge.
The dam also held Black Headed gulls and a couple of Common gull.
The resident pair of Little Grebe have moved from Spring Mill dam and bred on the lower mill dam for some reason this year but another good success story for this location.
A male Stonechat made a 2 second appearance as did 2 Willow Warblers and a male Reed Bunting.
The only sign of migration was Swallows and House Martins >NW.
