Raggalds Flood/ Soil Hill, late p.m.

                                        Plenty Wagtails around

                                            as well as Mipits.

A check of Raggalds Flood late afternoon on the way to Soil Hill found it wader less once again with even the Redshanks deserted. 3 Pied Wagtails were near the water along with
3 male Wheatear  on the wood pile to the rear of the field whilst Swallows were moving >N high overhead. Yesterdays 2 LRPs and RP seemed to have caused a bit of a stir with 2 birders cars and JL viewing the area.
Thoughts of the Plovers moving to the northern base of the hill were dashed with just 3 Redshank down in the quarry ponds along with 4 Wheatear way down in the deepest part of the quarry.  Several Linnets were bathing in the Shay ponds whilst 7  Canada geese were newcomers to the Lapwing field along with 2 more Wheatear and a Curlew.
Swallows were also overhead at this location.
