An evening at Leeshaw

                                          1 of 5 Oystercatchers
               At least 8 Redshank present.
              All lapwings holding territory now
                                             Fields full of canadas
                                          and Greylags

                                Plenty scuffles with the Lapwings
LBBs get everything in the air

                                   More Redshanks

1600 hrs and set off to Leeshaw in a torrential hail, sleet and snow storm in Queensbury but this soon passed over leaving a decent but windy evening. More waders moving in now with at least 8 Redshank present along with 5 Oystercatchers.  Very little shoreline but enough to tempt waders down..
Lapwings are in every field now defending their territory against other Lapwings and LBB gulls but
not as many Curlews as usual although time for more to arrive yet.
Plenty geese with Canadas and Greylags keeping to their seperate fields. A few Pied Wagtails but no whites amongst them.
Not a good forecast for Sunday/ Monday as usual for Easter but it won,t stop the birding.
BS.
