Ogden, late afternoon

Nice to see the white patched Greylag pair
that bred at TMR  have raised all 7 young
inc 3 whites.

Heading off east with 1 Canada in tow.
             The raggy moulting male Bullfinch

A 1500 hrs trip to Ogden was pleasant without the crowds though the birds were also quieter than usual at that time with no large flocks present.
5 Bullfinch were in the usual berry tree along with a single Redpoll briefly.
Around 10 Chaffinch were moving through the Alders along with c 20 Goldfinch that had 2 Siskin mixed in with them but no Brambling.
Only 2 Goldcrests found but spent all the hours visit around passerine alley hoping for something to turn up and apart from that I could see the west bank was being checked by 2 birders, one with long hair. Welcome to Ogden NCD.
The pair of white patched Greylags that bred this summer at TMR were on the water along with their 7 young inc 3 full whites before heading off >E taking a Canada with them.
Otherwise it was the usual gulls and the resident 3 Cormorant.

Queensbury vis mig   Starling morning.
A great morning for Starlings on the move , some low and fast in small squadrons and others very high in large flocks.
